Post Hurricane Ian Relief Notice

Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by Hurricane Ian. The devastation from this hurricane, as it swept through parts of Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina, is truly heartbreaking. As part of our mission to  provide the best loan servicing experience, it is important for us to support our customers and their communities in times of need. Everyone here at Superior Loan Servicing is committed to helping and supporting the recovery and rebuilding of the communities affected by this disaster.

If you are a borrower or a lender that has been affected by Hurricane Ian, please contact our Customer Service Department at 818-483-0027. Whether you’ve filed an insurance claim or need to know your options, our Customer Service Team is here to help.

 

We have gathered the following resources to help you in your recovery:

1. SBA Disaster Assistance

Homeowners, renters, nonprofits, and businesses of all sizes affected by Hurricane Ian can apply for various loans.

2. Flood Insurance

If you have a flood insurance policy through the National Flood Insurance Program, learn how to file a flood insurance claim. Don’t forget to contact Customer Service at 818-483-0027 to inform them of your claim.

3. FEMA

Affected residents may also be eligible for disaster assistance through FEMA.

4. HUD Disaster Assistance

HUD-approved housing counseling agencies can help provide home buying counseling and education after a disaster. If you are unsure about your financial decisions related to your mortgage, contact a housing counselor. Housing counselors can provide guidance with credit cards, student loans, and other debts, that may help you during your recovery. You do not have to have an FHA loan to meet with a HUD-approved housing counseling agency. To locate a housing counseling agency near you, please call 800-569-4287.

5. Disaster Distress Hotline

If you are experiencing emotional distress, please call the Disaster Distress Hotline at 800-985-5990. The hotline provides free 24/7 crisis counseling for people who are experiencing emotional related to natural disaster.

6. Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA)

DUA is available to qualified Florida businesses and residents whose employment or self-employment was lost or interrupted as a direct result of Hurricane Ian.

7. Florida Disaster Contractor’s Network

Florida’s DCN has been activated to provide support to homeowners in need of post-Hurricane Ian home repairs. This free service helps homeowners needing emergency repairs with licensed contractors and construction suppliers in Florida.

8. List of Insurance Companies

9. American Red Cross

If you would like to donate money, we recommend donating to the American Red Cross.  All donations to the Florida Disaster Fund are tax-deductible and go directly to those in need. You can also text the word ‘IAN’ to 90999 to make a $10 donation.

10. Hurricane Related Scams

Please keep in mind that scammers are very active after a major storm, so it’s important to protect yourself and to stay vigilant to avoid them.
